At Crystal, we are proud of our integration of Environmental, Social and Governance principles. Below is an overview of our recent ESG achievements.
Crystal received a social rating A- in 2019, which was upgraded to A in 2020, from independent ratings agency MFR, which provides an expert opinion on the social performance management of a financial service provider and its capacity to put its mission into practice and achieve social goals. We received particular commendation for our client protection systems and the quality of our services. The upgrade of the rating in 2020 was mainly driven by Crystal’s effective response to COVID-19 pandemic.
Crystal was recognised at the Corporate Social Responsibility Awards organised by Georgian CSR Club, the United Nations Global Compact and the Swedish International Development Agency, CiDA. We were awarded the prize for the category “Reasonable Consumption and Production” for the project “Green Financing”.
Crystal were selected by a panel of independent experts to receive the Best Annual Report and Transparency award in 2019. The awards were organised by the National Reforms Support Foundation (RSF), with support from the European Union, the World Bank, the Georgian Stock Exchange, the National Bank of Georgia and the EBRD.
Crystal was recognised at the Corporate Social Responsibility Awards organised by Georgian CSR Club, the United Nations Global Compact and the Swedish International Development Agency, CiDA. We were awarded the prize for Best Practice in the category of SDG #5: Gender Equality. The head of our E&S Division, Maya Kobalia, was further recognised as a young SDG pioneer by the Global Compact.
Crystal received the grand prix at the 2018 Meliora Awards, being ranked as Georgia’s most responsible large company. We were selected from a shortlist of 41 companies by a panel of independent experts within the framework of the Civil Society Sustainability Initiative, funded by the EU and German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
