Crystal at the Global Banking Alliance for Women – All Stars Academy

JSC MFO Crystal was the First MFI in Georgia obtaining international Credit Rating, First MFI in Georgia obtaining international commercial lending, First MFI in Georgia obtaining international Social Rating, Smart Campaign’s winner in ‘’Plain Language, Contract for clients’’; We had the First institutional American Investor and Shareholder – Developing World Markets (DWM); We have the highest Platinum Prize by Mix-Market for Social Performance reporting; In 2015 Crystal introduced the first credit boutiques, in 2017-we got the International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS 9) – first MFI in the whole region to get the IFRS 9. And now one more first to our Firsts:
We were the First Georgian financial institution to attend the Global Banking Alliance (GBA) for Women All-Stars Academy in Zambia and the very first MFI planting its flag at the all-mighty Victoria Waterfall in Livingstone (Zambia).

With the kind invite of our lender FMO (Netherlands Development Finance Company), Maya Kobalia – Crystal’s SPMO (Strategic Project Management Office) Coordinator attended the GBA All-Stars Academy’s first-ever class in Africa with more than 100 applicants vying for 60 slots in the immersive peer learning experience

Those seats went to 35 commercial banks, central banks and international finance institutions from 20 countries across the world, who gathered in Livingstone, Zambia to learn what it takes to bank women well from experienced financial services practitioners hailing from Africa and international markets.
