Crystal Covers Internet Fee for School Students

Quality Education is one of Crystal’s sustainable development goals. Achieving inclusive and quality education for all is one of the powerful vehicles for fulfilling sustainable development. Crystal follows its mission and strives to contribute for the better future. For New Year Season, Crystal financed Internet fee for more than 50 socially vulnerable students. Promoting youth education is one of the pillars of MFO’s corporate social responsibility and the support offered to “Charte” is part of the goal.

As they say at Crystal, – “Giving New Year presents to our partners is a nice tradition, but it is twice as delightful if it serves a noble purpose. On behalf of our partners, we have reimbursed internet fee for school children from Georgia’s 50 socially vulnerable families. We want to extend our gratitude to charte.ge for creating such an excellent platform. Hopefully, it will become so popular that we will no longer have even a single teenager with limited access to the Internet.”

Charte.ge is a charitable platform launched by the Educational Foundation – “Educare Georgia”, which allows any individual to finance computer or Internet fee for socially vulnerable students. With the help of the project, more than 1500 students have been given the opportunity to have an access on modern technologies. After getting a computer or the Internet, they participate in various educational initiatives offered by the project organizers.

According to the data available under the “Charte” project, up to 78,000 socially vulnerable students have a limited access or no access to Internet in Georgia. While living in the Internet coverage area, most of them are unable to cover the service fee due to lack of funds. In such circumstances, the project assumes even more importance.
