Crystal re-affirmed its position as an honorary award winner at the Best Annual Report and Transparency Competition (BARTA) for the third year in a row. This time, the company earned the recognition for the content, quality, and openness of its annual reporting. The award underscores the stable growth of the company and demonstrates that strong commitment to transparency is one of the cornerstones for Crystal team.
The Best Annual Report and Transparency Award (BARTA) was launched back in 2019 as a joint initiative of the World Bank and the European Union, implemented in partnership with the National Reforms Support Foundation in Accounting, Reporting and Auditing.
The annual award is intended to enhance the quality of reporting and transparency among the Georgian companies, to facilitate compliance with new regulations, to foster healthy competition between the local players, and to improve the overall standard of corporate reporting as part of the quest to build up investor trust and confidence at local and international levels.
“We are exceedingly proud of the fact that it is already the third honorary award on the record of Crystal since the launch of the competition. As you are aware, prosperity of the Georgian economy is largely contingent upon the ability of the private sector to attract both local and foreign investors. Consequently, this type of recognition in the field of sustainable and consistent reporting helps to build up the trust and to establish open and transparent relations with stakeholders.
In addition, I would like to emphasize the importance of the competition. By attracting more and more organizations from year to year, it plays a major role in raising the standard of openness and transparency of the companies’ financial operations,” – said Ilia Revia, CEO of Crystal.
The Best Annual Report and Transparency Award (BARTA) traditionally announces the winners in 4 categories: Large Financial Companies, Large Non-Financial Companies, Small and Medium Companies and Honorary Award.
